Welcome to my Web site!
About Me: I am an Egyptian, Muslim currently living in the USA. I work as a software developer for a software company in New Jersey. I have one brother and one sister. I graduated from the Computer Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University on June 1999 so my background is all about computers and nothing but computers. Hobbies My hobbies include reading, listening to music, watching movies, collecting stamps, programming and playing Ping Pong. I like reading arabic novels for Nagiub Mahfouz and Nabil Farouk. My favorite newspaper is AlAhram. I like playing computer games. FIFA is one of my favourite games. I also liked playing any adventure game from Sierra Online (now Sierra Studios). I finished many of their games starting with King's Quest I and ending with Gabriel Knight II. I like to play strategic games (when I know how to play them). I liked Dune and Civilization. I haven't played too much strategic games though. I like computers! I started all the way back in 1986 by writing simple programs for my Sakhr MSX home computer. Now I have an IBM Thinkpad PII 300/228 MB, not too up to date but it is ok for me. I love programming so much. You can see my projects section for some samples of my work. The first time I have ever programmed was in 1986 using MSX Basic. This was a language implemented by Microsoft for the MSX platform and surprisingly enough it is very close to the Visual Basic. I have used many computer languages during my carrier. I have used Basic, Pascal, C++ , Assembly x86,Z80, Lisp and many others. I liked Visual C++/Assembly the most of all of the languages I have used. I am not too much into web design. Except for this site and some other small tasks I haven't done anything big. I am more into system programming and algorithms implementation. Work Experience My first working experience started back in 1997 when I worked as a trainee with Giza Systems Engineering in the FIFA U-17 Soccer World Cup. It was nice watching the matches for free while making some money :-) My job was to update the website database during matches so that people can watch matches through the tournament web site. After graduation, I joined Giza Systems Engineering officially. I worked there on a program called IVR Studio using Visual C++. After spending about 1 year with Giza Systems, I moved to Mentor Graphics. There I was working on a program called IC Station. It was related to IC Layout. Again Electronics after I though I got rid of it by getting my degree! :-( But the good thing is that I was introduced to the Solaris OS. I really find it a real operating system away from the Microsoft junkies. At last, I moved to SoftDomain Inc. SoftDomain is a consulting company based in in New Jersey. They have some projects on their own though. There, I worked for many of their clients like Verizon Wireless, Carlin Group and Lucent Technologies. My Resume Please select a format to view my resume:
